A few days ago I received two lovely gifts. They were part of an exchange and my partners have been so generous! and so thoughtful :) I received tea, a colorful coaster with matching bookmark (the detail of the stitching is amazing!!), a lovely heating pad (and the quote is so me!) and a wonderful DVD about northern lights. I can already picture myself using them, sipping my tea with a good book, the warming cushion in my lap! Aren't stitchers the best of friends? :D

Pochi giorni fa ho ricevuto due bellissimi doni. Erano parte di uno scambio e le mie abbinate sono state così generose! e così premurose :) Ho ricevuto tè, un sottobicchiere colorato con un segnalibro coordinato (il dettaglio del ricamo è incredibile!!), un graziosissimo cuscino termico (e la frase è così adatta a me!) e un DVD stupendo sull'aurora boreale. Posso già immaginarmi mentre uso questi doni, sorseggiando il tè con un buon libro e il cusciono caldo in grembo! Le ricamine sono davvero le migliori amiche! : D

And here are the smalls I put in their parcels, to complement some festive bits and bobs. The upper one comes from a book "Celtic art in cross stitch", the lower one is from The Primitive Hare. Glad to say they have been received, although the post has not been exactly quick in delivering them. 

Ed ecco qui i due ricamini che ho messo nei loro pacchetti, insieme con qualche regalino festaiolo. Quello in alto è tratto da un libro Celtic art in cross stitch", quello in basso è di The Primitive Hare. Sono contenta di poter dire che sono arrivati, anche se le poste non sono state proprio "celeri" a consegnarli!

And to complete this festive post, what about the rest of the ornaments I have been working on? Some still need finishing but I thought it was well time to share! Have a lovely weekend :)

Ornaments... decorazioni

Winter holidays are getting close and I have started some small projects on this theme. First on my list, the design by Little House Needleworks featured in Just Cross Stitch... It's lively, colorful and so sweet! It was fun to stitch and easy to turn into a small ornament. :) and I am already working on a second chart, from a back issue of the same magazine... maybe you can spot the first stitches in the photo and guess what it is? :) 

La stagione delle feste si avvicina, così ho cominciato qualche progettino in tema. Primo della lista, lo schema di Little House Needleworks apparso su Just Cross Stitch... Colorato, allegro e così dolce! E' stato divertente da ricamare e facile da trasformare in una piccola decorazione natalizia. Ho già cominciato un secondo schema, questa volta da un vecchio numero della stessa rivista... se ne intravvede qualche crocetta nella foto, e forse qualcuno indovina di cosa si tratta? :)
